The stunning bush stone-curlew is captured in a 500 piece round jigsaw puzzle.  One of the beautiful, feathered friends of our wildlife.  This native bird, or is that a garden statue, poses well for the camera in this premium quality puzzle.  Our round jigsaws feature a unique piece or random cut, meaning there are no false fits.

Bush Stone Curlew – Australian Bird Jigsaw Puzzle

A Bush Stone Curlew pretending to be a statue features in this 500 piece jigsaw.  The stone-curlew bird is also known as a bush thick-knee.  Or the species name; Burhinus Grallaris.  We were very lucky to notice it in a garden bed of the campgrounds during a trip to Hastings Point, NSW in 2019.

Native Wildlife

A native bird, they have an interesting knack of hiding in plain sight during the day.  It uses its cryptic plumage like one of its feathered friends; the Tawny Frogmouth to camouflage itself.  Usually among the leaf litter under trees.  The striking gaze of this one’s watchful eye makes this a stunning jigsaw to puzzle.

Round Puzzle

From our wildlife range, this is a beautiful 500 piece round puzzle featuring some of our fauna. Unique shaped pieces make it unusual to complete. Share this time with family, friends or it makes a fun gift for a loved one.

I recently completed the very beautiful “Bush Stone Curlew” puzzle by Prints by Wallaby.

This 500 piece puzzle is literally perfection in a box. The puzzle pieces are thick with a blue board backing. They showed absolutely no sign of damage or peeling. The satin finish on the surface is easy on the eyes as it cuts down on glare. There is very little puzzle dust with this brand.

The puzzle build itself was a lot of fun. I’d never done a circular puzzle before so that in itself made for an enjoyable experience. Piecing together a stunning photo of an equally stunning bird was of course the main event and didn’t disappoint. Sharon is without a doubt very talented with her camera.

After completing the “Bush Stone Curlew”, I’ve found a new appreciation for photography style puzzles. As an avid puzzler, they are usually not a style I gravitate towards. I can honestly say Prints by Wallaby are single-handedly responsible for changing my mind.
